To verify the effectiveness of the proposed approach, the annual water consumption in Wuhan from 2005 to 2012 is used for the modeling to forecast the annual water consumption demand from 2013 to May 2020, and the forecasting results proved that the Fourier- NGBM (1,1) is a better than the among forecsating model used in this situation. Furethermore, this proposed approach is applied the real case in forecasting the Container Throughput Forecasting in Danang Port. The empirical results show that the proposed model will get a higher accuracy performance with the lowest MAPE =1.93%. This result is not noly show the effectivenness of proposed model but also offers valuable insights for Danang policymakers in orientation and planning management agency so as to boost the development of upcoming port activities.
Nguyen Thi Thuy Phuong, Vu Thanh Nhan , Van Thanh Phan Copyright (c) 2024 Nguyen Thi Thuy Phuong, Vu Thanh Nhan , Van Thanh Phan http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 http://116.203.177.230/index.php/ABR/article/view/17968 Mon, 09 Dec 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Navigating the Impact of Remote Work Arrangement on The Employee Professional Growth and Development at The Workplace http://116.203.177.230/index.php/ABR/article/view/17960
This research paper aims at exploring the impact of the of Remote Work on Employee Engagement, skill enhancement, Productivity and happiness in UAE based private and public sector employees. The researcher has used quantitate as well as qualitative and quantitative measurements for testing the hypothesis including the surveys, interviews and Descriptive statistics including ANOVA, linear regression, and other techniques to obtain the results.
Kalpana Solanki Copyright (c) 2024 Kalpana Solanki http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 http://116.203.177.230/index.php/ABR/article/view/17960 Thu, 12 Dec 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Some Guidelines to Publish Open Education Resource (OER) Materials for ADA Auditory Compliance in a Business Class http://116.203.177.230/index.php/ABR/article/view/17994
The number of persons with disabilities in the US has steadily increased to more than one in four today. Such disabilities have impaired both physical and cognitive functioning in human beings. Educational designers have suggested using a universal approach to designing courses and their materials such that all students could potentially benefit from such accommodations. Visual disability in particular has caused persons to be unable to grasp materials fully due to their dependence on text to speech software. Persons with disability have lagged the rest of the population in employability because of their lack of access to proper materials. In business education, finance classes have a particular problem of being able to depict tabular information to those with visual disability. This paper provides one method of how text-to-speech options can be used to suitably modify teaching materials and enable better learning among those with visual challenges.
Raj K Kohli, Anurag Pant Copyright (c) 2024 Raj K Kohli, Anurag Pant http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 http://116.203.177.230/index.php/ABR/article/view/17994 Thu, 12 Dec 2024 00:00:00 +0000 University Partnerships in the Global Business Arena – What Makes Them Successful? Featuring a Current Partnership Example Between U.S. and Moroccan Universities http://116.203.177.230/index.php/ABR/article/view/17964
University partnerships that join together institutions of higher education located in different parts of the world offer significant opportunities to educate all those involved (students, faculty, governmental agencies and participating private organizations). Students become more aware of the globalized environment in which they live and work; faculty build relations that expand their research opportunities and teaching skills, governmental agencies experience a different perspective on global business possibilities; and private organizations gain insights into world markets from the final reports and recommendations that come from such partnerships. This paper draws upon existing literature focusing on how to create and sustain productive university partnerships located in different countries and describes why such collaborations are central to the future of higher education and global business in general. The authors feature the steps taken to create an ongoing partnership between three universities (two in the United States and one in Morocco), whose students engaged with a private organization (the project’s “client”) seeking global business insights and opportunities. An overview of the project undertaken is also provided. The paper concludes with a call for development of more university based international partnerships and further research into what makes them successful.
Van R. Wood, William J. The theoretical underpinning used was the resource-based view which underscored the importance of putting qualified employees in the proper positions through periodical evaluations. This would enable the organization acquire competitive advantages over time. The study used a descriptive survey design to collect data. The total population of the study was 710 (seven hundred and ten respondents). Sample size determination was performed using Yamane Formula. Instrument for data collection was the questionnaire. The questionnaire was divided into two distinct sections: The employee bio data and the relationship between the dependent variable and independent variables respectively. Findings revealed that evaluation feedback significantly affects contextual performance and that employee training significantly reduces counterproductive behaviour in NASENI. The implication of these findings is that evaluation feedback in performance appraisal and employee training on counterproductive behaviour in NASENI have the capacity of increasing performance in organizations especially in organizations where employees have been accused of poor performance with low revenue yielding to the Federal government.
Blessing A.
