User Satisfaction on Mobile Apps: An Analytical Study on Omani Business Environment

Abstract

Currently numerous mobile apps are available to promote the business activities to the consumers. These mobile apps are developed to reach the customers easily through advanced provisions and technology. This study was conducted to measure the user’s satisfaction on those mobile apps in Omani business environment. Irrespective of business activities, mobile apps shall be developed and used in daily business activities. The study revealed that the respondents were highly satisfied with the mobile apps as they provide sufficient timely information about various business activities to the customers. The organizations should motivate the customers to use the mobile apps by removing the business boundaries.

Author Biography

Salah Mahdi Alkhafaji, Sur University College Sultanate of Oman

Associate Professor Dr. Engineer Salah Alkafaji, working at Sur University College, Sultanate of Oman, as IT&IS Professor. With More than 20 years of teaching experience in several universities. 

 

He holds Bachelor degree in Computer Control Engineering (BScE) from the University of Technology (Iraq) 1984, Master degree in Computer Engineering (MScE) from London College-Kensington University College (UK) 1999, and Ph.D degree in Management Information Systems (MIS) from London College-Kensington University College (UK) 2003.

 

Dr. Alkhafaji held several academic and administration positions: Assistant dean for students affairs and administrative affairs - SUC for more than (4) years, The Head of  Information and technology department - SUC for more than (5) years, He was an IT manager (CIO) for more than (6) years ( Industrial Corporations-Iraq), Computer Control and Systems Engineer for (8) years (Industrial Corporations-Iraq), Currently works as associate professor at the Information and technology department – SUC.

 

He chaired several college committees as listed:

  1. Information technology & network center.
  2. Teaching / Learning Resource Committee.
  3. Orientation Week & Advising Committee.
  4.  Graduation & Year Book Committee.
  5.  Disciplinary Committee and Students Grievance Committee.

 

 And he is a member in several professional societies as listed:

  • Member of review board of the International Journal of Entrepreneurship Management & Technology - IJMET, New York.
  • Member of Iraqi Engineering Association. (IEA)
  • Member of Iraqi Engineering Union. (IEU)
  • Member of Iraqi Computers Association. (ICA)

 

Dr. Alkhafaji presented more than (10) papers in conferences, symposiums and seminars, Published (18) research papers, (2) handbooks, and (3) articles in journals, participate in (19) workshop and seminars, and He developed a software system for educational hypermedia.
